About this event
Solar photovoltaic (PV) is transforming the global energy landscape at remarkable speed. Yet across ASEAN, many promising small- and medium-scale solar projects—particularly those serving commercial, industrial and community users—still struggle to attract the financing needed to move forward.
The opportunity is significant, but so are the barriers: limited access to suitable capital, too few proven and bankable business models, and a shortage of documented success stories that can give investors confidence and guide effective policy.
Recognizing that finance is key to turning ASEAN’s solar potential into real projects, the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) has launched a multi-year initiative to promote the scaling up of solar investments:
The Next Generation of Financing for Solar Rooftop and Storage
The initiative brings together proven financing models, investor networks and practical market knowledge to help move ASEAN from identifying financing gaps to mobilizing capital at speed and scale.
Event Objectives
Held as part of the ASEAN Energy Business Forum and alongside the ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting, this high-level session will bring the region’s solar investment conversation into sharper focus—and turn ideas into action. It will:
- Spotlight proven and replicable financing models for solar rooftop and storage from ASEAN and other relevant markets.
- Connect senior leaders from government, industry, finance and development institutions to unlock new investment opportunities.
- Build momentum for faster capital deployment in solar-plus-storage projects across the region.
- Launch Solar Rooftop and Storage: Financing Success Stories, Volume 1 of APVIA’s planned Solar Investment in Asia knowledge series.
Registration
Seats are limited. Pre-register early using the link above to express your interest. APVIA will issue an event-only pass to confirmed registrants. Please note that this pass provides access only to this session and not to other AEBF activities.
